The Times Picayune is reporting that Louisiana Baptists rejected the fundamentalist candidate for the presidency of their convention and elected a moderate. They also declined to subordinate their state newspaper to state convention control.
Congratulations to the Mainstream Baptists in Louisiana who have been patiently and persistently trying to inform Lousiana Baptists about the dangers of fundamentalism.
