Radovan Karadzic, the former Bosnia Serb leader who laid seige to Sarajevo and has been wanted for war crimes for twelve years, has been arrested.
Pictured above is one of the many cemetaries for the victims of Karadzic's ethnic cleansing campaign in Sarajevo. So many people died during the 1992-1995 civil war that cemetaries are scattered all over the city of Sarajevo, including some of the skirts and underpass edges of the freeways. Every village and town in Bosnia-Herzegovina has graveyards full of graves from that time. 300,000 people are reported to have perished in this time.
