Few things discredit the church more among intelligent people than propaganda by creationists and intelligent designers proclaiming that evolutionary science has been discredited.

Your post inspired me to move up publication of a post on Darwin's upcoming birthday.
I'm not a scientist, let alone a board certified evolutionary scientist. I'm not a Baptist either, but I used to be. I'm still a Christian that believes in evolution so the following is a link to my meager contribution to the debate.
