Fundamentalist Christians have rediscovered the value of church-state separation in Connecticut. They made a valid First Amendment objection to a Connecticut State Government website linking to churches that are open and affirming toward gays and lesbians.
The government has no business leaving the impression or giving the appearance that it endorses religion. That includes both conservative and liberal, gay and straight, and any other form of religion.
Sooner or later, the Christian right and the state government in Oklahoma will have to relearn that same lesson.
