Here's a quote:
"The politics of faith have been co-opted in the service of a political agenda defined by fascination with war, indifference toward poverty, and exploitation of God's creation for the benefit of a relative few," Edgar writes in an introduction to his book, Middle Church: Reclaiming the Moral Values of the Faithful Majority from the Religious Right.

Bruce: I hope you would engage the commentary on Chic Fil A magnet Truett Cathy at www.baptistlife.com
and the several links in that exchange.
Cathy and his former corporate attorney Perry McGuire, now running entangled with the Christian Coalition of Georgia for atty general of Georgia; this network and entanglement is a perfect case study for the ideas of Middle Church and the book you are pushing here.
Cathy is a big fish, almost as big as John Baugh. Between you and the Baptist Center for Studies at Mercer, there ought to a way to get him away from the Mohler/Richard Land column of politics.
