BBC is running a story about a suggestion in England to have an ATM machine installed in churches.
It's hard not to be reminded by this of the money changers in the temple.

Except that the money changers in the temple were actually swindling and cheating people.
How is this different from being able to make your tithe and offering to the church with a credit card over the Internet?
While I served Bishop Jakes at the Potter House in Dallas, (Administrator) I put an ATM in the church and increased the sale of cash purchasees for tapes, books etc. by 30% and decreased the Credit Card usage which cost the people and church. People also gave cash instead of bouncing checks as offering. Stewardship comes in many forms.
The M in "ATM" stands for Machine. Therefore, your post title (now unpacked) says, "Automated Teller Machines Machines in Churches?"
Just a pet-peeve of mine.
I guess it all depends on whether the ATMs will charge an outrageous fee for their use, like so many here in the US do. I'm less concerned about them being in churches than I am about how banks can get away at all with charging you anywhere between $1.50 and $5 to access your own money.
