Missouri Convention to Purge Moderates

ABP reports that a committee of the Missouri Baptist Convention will try to eject 18 moderate Baptist churches from its annual meeting which begins today.

Among the churches to be purged is the church in which the Convention was founded.

Dr. Prescott,

I'm a fool, I guess. I simply do not understand this.

I am convictionally conservative in my theological prism, yet, why we insist on obssesive separation when indeed no "moderate" to my knowledge has any "real influence" in our convention strikes me as radically paranoid. Am I wrong?
