Bush Prepared to Use Force Against Iran

Reuters is reporting that German Chancellor Gerhard Shroeder insists that using force against Iran to get it to end its nuclear program is "not acceptable."

Shroeder's remarks came after President Bush made the following statement:

"As I say, all options are on the table. The use of force is the last option for any president and you know, we've used force in the recent past to secure our country," he told state-owned Israel Channel One television.

As it becomes increasingly clear that the use of force was not our last option in dealing with Iraq, Bush's words are sure to be reassuring to the rest of the world community.

And extremely scarey for those of us who are against this war and have family members in the military with its forced conscription of stop loss and reactivation. God Bless Cindy Sheehan of Military Families Speak Out and Gold Star Families for Peace.

Even before we started the war in Iraq I read a quote, can't remember who said it, "Boy talk of invading Iraq, real men talk about Iran." This has been the real objective all along. Afghanistan was just a foot in the door. Iraq opened the door, now Rummy is blaming Iran for the deadly explosives and they can walk through the door into Iran which was the objective all along.

None of this makes any sense. I don't think we're in any position to invade Iran. It would not be pretty for anybody.
