Axis of Logic has posted a collection of quotes by neoconservatives called "In their own words."
Neoconservatives are the masterminds behind the current administration's war policy.
To assist readers in understanding the neoconservatives, I will be writing a few blogs about neoconservative philosophy in the coming weeks.
Neoconservative philosophy is currently the dominant political philosophy in America.
Those who read "In their own words" will get a small sample of this mindset.

Wow.
William Kristol's quote, "American power should be used not just in the defense of American interests but for the promotion of American principles," is the definition of hegemony. This mindset is why, while Americans see themselves as the saviors of the world, the world sees us as invaders and bullies.
Whatever happened to the country our forefathers fought and died for? We seem to have lost our original identity and have become something rigid and aggressive.
Peace,
Mike
"Those evil neocons actually think that all men are created equal, endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
Tell that to the 22-year-old taxi driver known only as Dilawar who was beaten and tortured to death in American custody. He was not a terrorist. They didn't know who he was. So they torured him to death.
The 2,000 page report speaks of innocent people whose torture was "driven by little more than boredom or cruelty, or both," and "finds one detainee, who had been chained to top of his cell by his wrists for many days, was taken for last abusive interrogation when most of interrogators believed he was innocent."
Our forefathers fought and died for our liberty, not our hegemony, and certainly not our turture and abuse of innocents abroad.
Still not ashamed to sign my comments.
Peace,
Mike
anonymous,
Actually, key neocon thinkers do not believe that all men are created equal. Neither do they all believe in a creator who endows men with unalienable rights.
I'll deal with that in a blog tomorrow.
Anonymous,
Again I beg: Please stop the hate. And get a blog (and life).
