Reagan Republicans Turning on President

The current President has had more than his share of cabinet members and advisors giving interviews and writing books that have been critical of his decisions. Now prominent Republicans around the country are raising their voices.

Paul Craig Roberts, who served as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury under Reagan, published an essay this week calling for the President to be impeached.

I am accustomed to members of the opposition party issuing calls for impeachment. It is something new to me to see members of the President's own party calling for his impeachment.

Wow, who would have thunk it? Read a number of his blog posts. Maybe there is a voice of sanity instead of mindless conformity in the Republican Party. Maybe he will be what it takes for this bunch of amoral thugs to loose power. Only Nixon could go to China, only a respected Republican can say what he is saying.

I agree with Greek Shadow, I am very happy to see some of what that man had to say. Sadly most of today's Republican party would be unrecognizable to Pres. Reagan, should he get to give us a visit.

How I sudder when this President is called a "good Christian".

In an earlier blog Mr Roberts said "...Twenty million evangelical Christians, who once focused on saving their souls, now seek an avenue to heaven through war in the Middle East, which they believe will bring on Armageddon and the Rapture. "

If only others would talk about this.
