Theocrats Vow Payback for Filibuster Pact

The Denver Post published story today titled "Religious right vows payback for brokers of filibuster pact." Kudos to Ken Salazar for speaking publicly about the intentions of the religious right:
One member of the coalition not up for re-election until 2010 is Ken Salazar, the Colorado Democrat who has clashed with Focus over the filibuster.

Salazar agitated ministry leadership again Tuesday by saying Dobson and other Christian conservatives are pushing the country to become a "theocracy."

"I don't want us to become another Saudi Arabia or another Iraq, and I think that people who are part of that radical right would have our country go in that direction," Salazar said in an interview with MSNBC.

After we left in 1963 I didn't know there were any democrats left in Colorado. Bill was president of the young dems when you were little.

Thank God for a man of principle like Ken Salazar. Hopefully, the people of Colorado will be wise enough to understand who it is who is standing for them and who it is who wants them under their heel.

Peace,

Mike

The scary thing is, the "take back America" crowd is rushing us toward this and won't hear it when others try to point out the danger.

Lord, have mercy.
